Department Information: Employment Opportunities
Clark County Fire & Rescue continually accepts applications for volunteer firefighters. CCF&R will hold a Volunteer Recruit Academy in 2009 and will contact applicants prior to confirm their interest. In addition to an application, candidates must pass a physical ability test; those who are successful will be given a physical exam and drug screen prior to becoming a volunteer.
Applicants with current firefighting experience may be considered as lateral volunteers, at the discretion of the Volunteer Coordinator, and may not need to participate in the Recruit Academy. The physical ability test, physical exam and drug screen will still be required of lateral volunteers.
Please see the Firefighter job description under the Policy screen for duties and requirement details.
