Clark County Fire & Rescue is sad to announce the passing of Fire Commissioner Mike Nolan on June 30th, 2010 from brain cancer.
Commissioner Nolan had just recently been appointed to the position in March, but was already making his mark on the District with his eagerness to be involved, objective decision making, friendly demeanor and fun sense of humor. Outside of the Fire District, Nolan had been a career member of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office since 1984 and was very active as a volunteer in many community organizations. He was a member of the La Center City Council and the La Center Little League Association. Commissioner Nolan is survived by his wife, Erin, also a member of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, and their three children. Commissioner Nolan will be greatly missed!
