In light of the fact that nearly 80% of calls for service are of a medical nature, a strong emphasis on medical training has been adopted by the Clark County Fire & Rescue. In cooperation with the City of Vancouver Fire Department and the Clark County Medical Program Director, all of the CCF&R Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics participate in Monthly OTEP and PCEP training to ensure competency and to meet state certification requirements.
